ARM400
is a fine grain hardened steel with a Brinell Hardness
number averaging over 400HB. This hardness gives
the steel a life expectancy five times greater than
some softer steels. ARM400 is enriched in chromium
& molybdenum carbides, meaning it is worked-hardenable
when abraded. It is often employed in situations
where lengthy abrasion resistance, good impact strength
and high mechanical characteristics are required.
ARM400
has excellent welding properties due to the low carbon levels
within its composition. It is typically supplied shotblasted
and painted
