We aim to offer an impartial view of available sizes and lengths of structural hollow sections manufactured in both the UK and the rest of the EU. Emphasis is still on material produced by the Hot Finished method as this is still the product preference of many designers and architects.

Elliptical (or oval) tubes have become more popular, particular for glass facades with more manufacturers endeavouring to produce a product range. This shape will now form part of the new edition of EN 10210 that will display a standard range of sizes. The product has been used in many completed buildings and the image gallery attached to this section will show some varied uses to which it has been put.
